“In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,”

Circumcision in the bible speaks of a covenant that is made by faith, trusting to walk not in the flesh but to walk in God.

It is an outward sign of an inward covenant mankind had with God to walk by faith as Abraham's descendants.

Cutting off the flesh speaks of us believers not walking by our five senses but walking by faith in Christ.

It is to remind the people of the covenant that sin in the flesh has no more domain over us.

It reminds us that we are no longer under sin that is held in the flesh but it has been cut off by faith in the promises of God.

Jesus is that promise to all mankind to be free from the dominion of sin and be liberated in His Holy Spirit.

Today all believers are circumcised by faith in Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and given us His Spirit so that we no longer walk according to the flesh but according to His Spirit.

Now in Christ, the power and influence of satan have no more effect on our lives.

Now in Christ, we chase away every darkness and destroy every stronghold of satan.

For we are the light of Christ and the salt to this earth. No darkness in all of its power can put off the light that is in us.

For greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world. We walk as a covenanted people by faith in Christ.

Let us walk in the covenant Jesus Christ established for us, guiding our thoughts and hearts daily to follow His ways.
