who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Peter and John looked just like everyone else who went to the temple at the hour of prayer. The lame man asked alms from Peter and John as he asked everyone else who walked pass him.

Peter and John is not like everyone else. Peter and John carried within themselves the power of God. Peter and John were convinced of the power that’s within them that is waiting to be released.

The knowledge of power that they have in Christ has empowered them to be so bold to speak healing and command the lame man to get up and walk.

We may look like ordinary people but we have the power to raise the dead to life. We may not feel like we have much to give but in Christ we have all that we need and beyond.

We must not be taken down in the way people respond to us. Instead, we must be taken up by the opportunity that comes our way.

When people ask us for our help, we don’t give what they want, we give what we have in Christ. For what we have in Christ may not fill their immediate wants but will certainly fill their needs for life.

Let us continue to live out Christ in the world and see His glory manifest in our midst.
