“Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God;”

Paul called the Thessalonians to continue in the teachings of Christ and to grow in following its principles every day.

The growth is reflected in the lifestyle of every believer. Each one should take the opportunity of the grace of God and His free gifts.

Paul called the believers to be productive disciples of Christ so that each one will continue to produce more fruits.

The main emphasis is to be productive because of what we have first received.

Paul is not calling because we don’t have. It is because we have it all through God’s grace.

We are to exhort in the Lord, not in our problems, our situation or our lack.

We are to lift ourselves to the place where God has graced us by believing in Him and start functioning from that place.

Our existence is very crucial to our generation and to the generations to come.

We can set one another up in the Lord by constantly following Jesus and keep displaying His glory.

Let the abundance of God, His rich promises and love always be displayed in and through our lives.
