Mark 16:11 NKJV
“And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.”
Mark 16:11 NKJV
Jesus’s own disciples heard what Jesus said about His resurrection; they all followed Him, but yet they did not believe.
His disciples left everything and walked with Jesus for three years but did not believe when others told them that Jesus was alive.
This is because they did not see for themselves the resurrected Christ.
Jesus did say in the beginning that blessed are those who do not see yet believe.
We are all on this journey together, believing what Christ has done for us.
But many get stuck because they want to match their beliefs with something they can see.
To walk by faith is to walk in the unseen substance, which is God’s promises, and stand believing until it comes to pass.
Jesus appeared to others first before appearing to His own disciples so that we can learn to belief without seeing.
This shows that one can go to church, attend all the meetings, join all-night prayer meetings and still walk in unbelief.
The key is to believe even though we don’t see any results in the natural.
Our confession carries life and power that can create or eliminate things in our lives.
When we speak the promises of God, believing that it will come to pass no matter what, then it will come to pass.
Giving up halfway or because of a situation and circumstances is like the parable Jesus said about the sower.
We need to develop a state of belief intentionally so that we will not waver if we don’t see immediate results.
Persistence and perseverance are key ingredients to hold on to God’s promises.
Let us be quick to eliminate doubt and unbelief by knowing that He who calls has prepared for us all things.
