Philippians 3:1 NKJV
“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe.”
Philippians 3:1 NKJV
Paul gave his conclusion from the first 2 chapters to this point to rejoice in the Lord.
To rejoice means we have made a choice to believe in God regardless how the circumstances may be.
To rejoice therefore is the fruit of our trust in God and the manifestation of our confidence in what He has done.
Paul says to write the same thing to you is not tedious but it’s for their own safety.
Because if rejoicing is not present in their lives, then we have given ourselves to doubt and unbelief.
One may say, how can I rejoice when I am in this situation?
It’s overwhelming because the trust is on what the circumstances will bring instead of God who is in us.
For He who is in us is able to call things that are not to be so in His Name.
Being thankful to God always and rejoicing always is a sign that we are believing in God more than what’s happening around us.
Rejoicing in the Lord comes about when one’s mind is set on what Christ has given, standing on the truth and in the love of God.
Let’s keep seeing ourselves clothed with the righteousness of God, living in the abundance of God’s promises and keep rejoicing in the Lord.
Blessings
