Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.”

An amazing encounter where the guards stood as dead men while the angel spoke to Mary that Jesus is not in the tomb but have risen from the dead.

The earthquake, the big stone rolling away and an angel sitting in that tomb is not about getting Jesus out of the tomb. It is about getting people into the tomb, opening the eyes of the people to witness God’s power, and glory, and confirming His word.

Only good things were recorded from this earthquake. When Jesus rose from the dead, it marked the first person to break the stronghold of death and burst into everlasting life.

There will be many stones that will be rolling away when we believe in Jesus and it will become a witness for all to see the glory of God.

We are not to be afraid when shakings happen or when we hear the news that seems catastrophic but in all of those situations we are to be courageous and be strong in the Lord.

Keep looking for the goodness of God no matter how bad the picture that the enemy has painted in our minds.

Because God is faithful and true. He will always turn everything for good to those who love Him.

God never leaves us nor forsakes us. He is always there to turn things around the moment we hand over to Him and trust His leading.

Let us lift our eyes to the Lord and see His glory and power before our eyes.
