Hebrews 4:6 NKJV
“Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,”
Hebrews 4:6 NKJV
This verse gives us directions and understanding concerning the subject of “entering His rest".
This word “enter into His rest” is not speaking about our salvation of eternal rest, instead, this is about completing the task, the mission and the vision that God has given to each one of us.
The passage before this in Hebrews chapter 3 explained about Israel’s lack of faith and their unbelief that has cost them their “rest”. They did not enter the promised land.
The one who entered the “rest”, the first promised land was a generation who believed God’s word, took action according to God’s word and by faith took it from the enemies' hand.
The 'rest' here is not talking about having a good sleep, a good holiday or a life free from work. The 'rest' here is talking about accomplishing the God-given purpose until we complete it.
Every time we COMPLETE the task, we move into a new season of greater dimension and greater glory in God.
Unbelief was the enemy that robbed them of the promised land.
Once we believed and received all that is of God, guard that satan can change that by turning our focus on the circumstances around us instead of focusing on God.
We cannot enter His rest if we keep aborting God’s word when circumstances change.
We cannot abort God’s premises due to the issues we may encounter with some people.
God has given to all the same measure of faith, hope, love and His Divine nature.
It is up to us to walk through every valley, climb through every mountain and stand through every test of life because in Christ we have overcome the world.
Let us enter in because God’s plan will be fulfilled and His second coming is for sure.
Therefore, let us live life in obedience completing every word we receive from the Lord.
Blessings
