Luke 18:1 NKJV
Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,
Luke 18:1 NKJV
Prayer is part of every believer's lifestyle. Jesus taught the disciples and listeners about the attitude we should have when we pray.
Jesus spoke about a woman who cries out for an answer from a judge who has no fear of God and has no regard for man.
This man is an unbeliever and cold-hearted towards everyone. Yet the woman's persistence broke every hardness of heart and his pride of self-righteousness.
In this passage, Jesus is not teaching us to beg God or anyone for that matter, He is not teaching us to knock on the heaven's door. Instead, He is teaching us the kind of attitude we should have when it comes to the way we pray.
Many in the body of Christ pray unbelieving prayers. Prayers that will undo everything that Christ has done.
Prayers like "Please l,Lord deliver me", "Please, Lord bless me", "Please Lord, more of Your power and anointing", and many more of these kinds of prayers.
We all have prayed these kinds of prayers or are still praying the same prayer after many, many years.
There is no spiritual growth or understanding of what God has given to us, done for us and what is our heritage in Him.
We need to cross over from praying like a baby that needs to be fed from the mother to adulthood by taking authority and responsibility as one who has received power and authority to do what God has called us to do.
Therefore, let us take our place in Christ and be a prayer warrior praying for souls to come into His kingdom, casting down every high thing, pulling down strongholds in the mighty name of Jesus.
