Acts 10:28 NKJV
Then he said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Acts 10:28 NKJV
God showed to Peter in a vision that whoever God called common, Peter cannot call uncommon. Peter then embraced the new way of life that is in Christ Jesus.
Very often, we as believers do not realise how we exclude people and how we sidelined the ways of God when we get comfortable with our own little ways.
We do not realise that we get into our own favourite groups and like the things we do together without realising how we exclude other people around us.
God had to deal with Peter about this issue because Peter himself got caught in this dilemma.
It is important that we are constantly checking whether we are excluding people or including people in the body of Christ.
The more we open our hearts to everyone, the more we become like Jesus and the more we reflect on Him.
We are all representatives of Jesus.
Every gesture, every feeling and every thought we have towards another will have an affect them. If we open our hearts to everyone as Jesus did for us then they can feel, know and experience the love and grace of God.
Let us grow with the heart of Jesus every day and reach out to every soul on the earth.
