Mark 9:24 NKJV
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
Mark 9:24 NKJV
A man crying out for mercy for his son to be delivered. He already had a disappointing experience with Jesus's disciples because they could not cast the evil spirit out.
Now the father begs Jesus for mercy and Jesus said, " If you can believe, all things are possible to those who believe."
The man said, "I believe but help my unbelief." The man wanted to believe but his past experience was hindering his belief.
He, therefore, asked for mercy like an unbeliever who is knocking at the door of Jesus's heart.
The man overcame his disappointment, doubt and discouragement by just trusting in God, by believing in Him even though things did not turn out the way he wanted them to be the first time.
We too might have believed God for miracles yet we are disappointed by the outcome which hinders us from believing God for our breakthroughs.
The key is not to look at the results but keep trusting that the One we put our trust in knows and will bring about the best result no matter how it looks like in the natural.
We must not conclude to picture who God is by the results we get but we must conclude that God is faithful and what He has promised He will also do it.
Our lives as a believer stretch from this earth to the next and from the temporal life to eternal life with Jesus in heaven.
Therefore, we cannot conclude the result just from one part of our life that is temporal but we need to consider that all things will work out for the best for those who trust God, believe and love God.
Let us not depend on our experiences but depend on God and His promises that will never fail.
