Hebrews 12:7 NKJV
If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?
Hebrews 12:7 NKJV
The word of God shows us that God disciplines His children because He loves them and wants them to grow to their full potential.
Only those who really love will take the risk of being rejected when they highlight the things that can be done better. Though it does not benefit them personally yet they put in effort to correct so that it builds, edified and empowers the people they correcting.
Our Father loves us and knows us more than we know ourselves. Therefore He wants us to ENDURE the discipline that comes our way and use them wisely for the benefit of our growth.
Chastening means to be
educated or trained; by implication or disciplinary correction. All these are values that will mould our character.
In today's world the chastening, discipline, endurance, trials and tribulations, pressures and hardship is no longer part of the training, not in schools and no longer in parenting our children.
We have a generation that cannot take the pressure and have a high percentage of mental breakdowns.
This is because they don't believe in development, enduring pressures and trials that come with living a disciplined life like we were used to before.
Those who are disciplined will last longer in the battle of life than those who have no discipline in life.
God loves us and He knows what is coming and the enemy wants to kill, steal and destroy. Yet God has come to give us life and life more abundantly.
We need to submit to God and through the people God placed in our lives to coach us and mentor us.
Let us yield ourselves to the discipline God is placing before us so that when the time comes, we will be ready to face the challenges.
Blessings
