“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God spoke through the prophet in the Old Testament not to remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.

If it is important for them in the old covenant not to remember the old and not to consider the former things, how much more it is for us who live in the new covenant.

The springing forth of God has come and that is Jesus to all mankind. For in Him is the fullness of life.

Therefore, we have to pay attention to what we are considering and what we are thinking about.

Are we rehearsing the faults and failures?

Are we considering the conditions of our life?

We have to STOP rehearsing the old but LIFT our eyes to Jesus who is the new beginning for us.

We would not be able to live out the new life in Christ if we were always looking at what we don’t have.

The Bible says that we have received everything we need according to His riches in glory.

We should be putting our efforts into remembering the promises of God and considering our heavenly inheritance before we make a decision.

Never measure ourselves with the past but measure ourselves according to the future that we have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let us lift up our hearts and minds and see the new things and let us no longer regard the things of the old.
