Jesus said if we don't forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive you. Why would Jesus say that the Father will not forgive yet He always wants us to forgive?

He also teaches us to forgive 70 x seven which basically saying we must forgive no matter how many times.

God will never tell us to do something which He is not prepared to do. What does Jesus mean when he said that the Father cannot forgive if we don't forgive?

Choosing not to forgive is to choose to hold on to the works of the devil which people have done to us.

The enemy, satan, wants to gain entry into our lives, he looks for legal rights to come in. Choosing not to forgive is giving satan the rights to gain entrance into our lives.

For every bad thing people do is not from God but from the devil. If we choose not to forgive them, we are holding on to satan.

What Jesus is saying is this. If we choose not to give up the devil and his works, how can we receive the forgiveness that our Father wants to give us?

If our hands are full or holding tight on to satan and his works, how are we going to receive the grace of forgiveness from God our Father?

Unforgiveness blocks us from receiving the full blessings that our Father in heaven wants us to receive.

If we choose to forgive, we have valued, honoured and love God above what people have done to us.

If we choose not to forgive, we have valued, honoured and loved what the bad people have done to us.

It looks so silly to hold on to the bad, honour the bad and love the bad but because we don't know what unforgiveness does, we fail to forgive and are consumed by satan's plans to kill, steal and destroy.

We thank God who always turns every bad thing around for GOOD for those who love Him and called by His Name.

Let us flow in the grace of forgiveness and don't give the enemy any entrance into our lives.
