I Timothy 1:17 NKJV
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
I Timothy 1:17 NKJV
Paul is writing to Timothy, his spiritual son, about being mindful of the grace of God and not to get caught up with the law.
Paul expresses to Timothy that Paul, himself is a religious man following the law and persecuted the believers.
Paul encountered Jesus on the road where grace was given to him by God, Paul came to know Jesus.
He did not come to know Jesus because he was good.
He came to know Jesus because Jesus reached out to him.
Paul found this grace because whatever he did through the law, he did it to please God. Yet the law blinded him to see the truth.
Therefore, we need to be mindful of the grace of God daily, giving God all that He has done for us. Nothing is earned by our good works but by the grace of God.
Whatever we do, whatever we have achieved, accomplish and have obtained, it is all by the grace of God.
The only one who deserves the glory and honour is God our Father, Jesus the Son and Holy Spirit.
Give thanks to God daily for what we have, what we have achieved and for the greater things which are to come.
When we give God all the honour, praise and thanksgiving, we remind ourselves of our position in Christ Jesus.
Let us live a grateful life towards God and see a greater manifestation of God's grace in our lives.
Blessings
