People don’t usually welcome corrections well. Corrections are seen as a failure and something that is not appreciated in society today.
Corrections can do only one thing, that is it puts us back in the right direction that will give us a good result.
Everyone desires good results from godly corrections but sometimes the way corrections are handed down is filled with rage, selfishness, and pride.
This causes the corrections to become of no use because what was meant to correct them is hurting them.
Corrections restrict our old ways and it gives directions to the new way. The severity of the corrections depends on how stubbornly we hold on to our old ways.
Some people easily change directions when corrected, others have to be dragged out of situations that leave scars and some will dig deeper in their ways because they don’t want to accept correction.
God loves us and sees what is ahead of us, He sees our full potential and wants us all to live to our full potential.
Therefore, He shows us what needs to be changed, what lifestyle that needs to be redirected, what company of people we should keep, and so on.
God is fully invested in each one of us because He loves us. He is not taking away good stuff from us.
God wants to remove the bad stuff from us. He wants us to live in the best that He has prepared.
Love disciplines, love corrects and love challenges us to live in God’s goodness.
Therefore, do not harden our hearts to corrections, but embrace it because it is God loving us in His fullness.
