Standing fast forever is important, but what we stand on is even more important than standing fast.
Many believe in what they believe to be true, and they stand fast, holding on to it even though it is completely against God.
The only truth is Jesus. Anything we hold on to has to be anchored in Christ Jesus who is the truth.
For Jesus is the truth that was made flesh and dwelt within us. Jesus has sent forth His word and has healed all our sicknesses.
To stand upright is to stand in agreement with what Christ has done for us.
After our confession, after our amen and praise the Lord, are we able to stand firm in what Christ has done for us?
The very reason God has clothed us with Christ's righteousness is so that we will no longer need to live under condemnation.
And so that we can live boldly in the power and love of Christ.
We need to examine our hearts to see whose report do we believe.
Pray that we will echo the report of the Lord and stand firm till the end.
When we desire to stand in the truth for His kingdom. We will be standing on a sure foundation that cannot be shaken.
Let us rise up as one body in Christ and stand fast till the end.
