Nehemiah‬ ‭8‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.””

‭‭Nehemiah‬ ‭8‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When the word of the Lord was proclaimed, the people wept and were convicted.

But Nehemiah told the people to go their way and eat and share with those who have nothing.

Then Nehemiah said something powerful that we all say very often which is the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Many today pray for strength so that they can rejoice in the midst of their challenges.

But here, Nehemiah encouraged the people to take joy in the Lord, which gives them strength to stand amid their challenges.

If we are waiting for the miracle first before having joy, if we are waiting to see answers to our prayers so that we can be joyful, we have missed the revelation.

We are to be joyful over what Christ has done first before we see a single manifestation.

The joy comes in when we set ourselves to see our expected end by faith in Christ Jesus.

Joy bubbles up from the Lord from within with such assurance from our great God.

When we don’t see anything happening, we take our place to rejoice in what Christ has done.

This is important so that we can appropriate ourselves and position to manifest what Christ has done for us.

Let us celebrate Jesus.

Celebrate what He has finished for us.

Celebrate what He has put into us and celebrate the victory He has purchased for us.

Blessings
