Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul brought such a powerful revelation of the truth about what Christ has done for all mankind.

In Christ we all died therefore don’t pray to be dead in Christ again and again.

For in Christ, we have been made free from sin and made righteous before our Heavenly Father.

We are not going to be free but free for the power of sin and death has been broken by Jesus.

This again shows us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us so that we can live life as saints of God and not sinners.

Now in Christ, we don’t identify ourselves as sinners, that is the identity we had before Christ died for us.

We identify ourselves in Christ as saints because His precious blood HAS cleansed us from ALL unrighteousness.

The knowledge of what Jesus has done gives us the power to stand above the lies of the enemy.

There are two main things that happens when we walk by this truth. One, it sets us free. Second,, it gives true honour and glory to Christ our Lord.

If we don’t believe this truth, we are robbed of true freedom that we have received and remain in the sate of unbelief towards the work of Christ.

We are taught to bring ourselves to the cross but here Paul says to bring ourselves to the resurrection of Christ.

The cross is a place of punishment but the resurrection of Christ is the place we start as a new creation.

For a long time, we are TRYING to be free as a believer when Christ has ALREADY freed us.

We need to live in the finished work of Christ in order to give Jesus true worship, honour and glory.

Let us live in the liberty, peace, joy and love that Christ HAS given to all believers.
