Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV

“And on the seventh day, God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When God created everything that needed to be created, God rested on the seventh day.

When God rested on the seventh day, He did not get up and start His work on the following first day, not the second, third or sixth day.

Instead, mankind started his work from the following day onwards. Mankind took what God had finished and started to cultivate all that God had established.

God only came to fellowship but no longer did anything on the earth because God had done all that needed to be done.

That responsibility was given to Adam and Eve. They are to cultivate, multiply, replenish, subdue and take care of everything with the abundance that God has placed in them.

Jesus was born in the flesh, took our place, took our punishment, was crucified, died, rose again and now lives in us by His Spirit.

What Jesus finished, He is not starting to work again to go over to make provision for mankind again and again.

Jesus has done it all, provided it all and has finished all that is needed for us to start living out what Jesus had finished.

We don’t pray and ask Jesus to do for us what He has commissioned us to do. We don’t pray for God to get back to work. Instead, we are the ones to work the works of God.

Jesus is waiting for His body which is the believers, the church, to rise up and start to live out the provisions He has granted to us.

Too often, the church is calling for Jesus to rework, redo, reheal and basically start over again as if Jesus had not finished the work.

Just like in the beginning, God fellowshipped with mankind but the works were done by Adam and Eve.

Through Christ's sacrifice, we have fellowship with our Heavenly Father, with Jesus and God the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, we should start living out Jesus, live out the kingdom of God and all that He has done for us.

Blessings
