II Corinthians 5:3 NKJV
“if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.”
II Corinthians 5:3 NKJV
Paul speaks about our true identity that is concealed in this temporary body.
All temporary things will be over when we breathe our last here on this earth and be clothed in God’s glory without any defects.
What we have is a body that has been defected by sin and condemnation.
When Christ died for us, He restored us to His image and likeness.
In our spirit, we have been made completely like Him, received everything that is of Him and made perfect.
But because this perfection is in this imperfect body, we groan for the day when we will be completely delivered from this imperfect body.
While we are still in this imperfect body, we need to keep renewing it.
We need to keep changing our way of life to present ourselves perfect just as Christ presented us to the Father.
We will not be found naked at the end but clothed in God’s glory for eternity.
We need to continue to live out our true identity that has been made perfect in Christ, continue to put into practice and renew every part of us into Christ-likeness.
Let us continue by fixing our eyes on Christ, stand in His finished work and display Him through our lives.
Blessings
