Isaiah‬ ‭28‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.”

A foundation has been laid. It is a cornerstone upon which our lives and the entire body of Christ are built upon.

Jesus Christ is the cornerstone. Our lives cannot be built on experience, on past knowledge, or on what seems right in the natural.

Our lives need to be built upon the cornerstone, Jesus Christ.

A cornerstone is placed in every building construction.

The cornerstone becomes the measure, the alignment, and the basis of how the building is going to look like.

Every stone that is laid needs to be in line with the cornerstone.

Everything that is not in line with the cornerstone has to be discarded.

It is the same with our life in Jesus. For we are God’s field and we are God’s building. A spiritual house fitted together to display God’s glory and power.

There are so many things we have brought into our lives like our traditions and knowledge that have been handed down. Most of the time those things do not align with what Jesus has done for us.

Therefore, we need to take heed of how and what we allow to be laid in our lives.

We need to constantly align our belief system with Jesus.

How we pray, how we speak, and how we do things got to be in alignment with the cornerstone of our life, Jesus Christ.

Let us continue to bring every part of us into alignment with Christ and check everything that we have laid reflects Jesus.
