Hebrews‬ ‭9‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience—”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The tabernacle, the ceremonies, and the offerings are all symbolic of what is to come.

No matter how much they offered and sacrificed, they cannot change their conscious soul.

Man's disobedience gave birth to a sinful nature and sin-consciousness.

Jesus came and died for us so that we can be born again to be the righteousness of God and to have a consciousness of God.

The old covenant was made for a sin-conscious people but the new covenant is made for God-conscious children of God.

Our conscience needs to be renewed from an old pattern to a new pattern, from old ways to new ways, and from living outside of God to living inside of Him.

Today we have received the new Covenant through Christ our Lord.

Let us start to drop every ceremony that is of the flesh, change our old habits, transform our lifestyle, renew our thoughts, and live life in the Spirit.

The new covenant cleanses our conscience from dead works to having faith in Jesus Christ.

The new covenant changes our preconceived idea of punishment that came from the old covenant to the unmerited favour, grace, and love of God that we have received through Christ.

Do a complete cut-off from the old to the new by letting go of the old.

The old is denying the work of Jesus on the cross and the New Covenant Jesus has established for us.

What is familiar to the flesh needs to be crucified. We crucified the flesh not by repenting over the things of the flesh but by turning our direction and fixing our entire focus on Jesus Christ and on all that He has done for us.

What Jesus did for all mankind is the foundation, the starting point where we build our lives and our faith in Him.

Let us be God-conscious knowing that all things pertaining to life and godliness have been given to us through Christ.

Blessings
