John 5:3 NKJV
In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
John 5:3 NKJV
The pool of Bethesda is a place where people who were sick gather in the hope to be healed. When an angel went down and stirred the water, the first person in the pool gets healed.
Today many are seeking healing when all hope is lost. When there is no more money to spend on medication and surgeries.
In the midst of sickness and diseases, Jesus walked in and healed a man who had an infirmity.
If Jesus did not go there to heal, this man would still be sitting there hoping to be healed and probably may not even make it to the pool.
Today Jesus has given ALL believers the power and authority to heal the sick and cast out the devils.
Jesus gave us His Holy Spirit to dwell in each one of us to help the helpless and to give hope to the hopeless.
We as believers in Christ have a mission to heal and share about the Healer so that they can be loved and blessed by our loving Father in heaven.
We need to take a little step of faith each day and look for those who are not well and pray for them. We won't be able to use the gift of God in us if we don't try and practice the gift.
Start with our own family and move on to our friends and then to our communities.
We all can be the person to bring the healing power of Jesus to the people in need.
We may find people who would say that it is ok, I don't need prayer or I am all good, thanks but we will also find those who are really blessed to have you pray for them.
When we lay hands on the sick, we just need to believe in the power of Jesus and command the sickness to go out in Jesus name. Yes, it's that simple.
God does the healing but we do the going and the laying of our hands or speak to their body to be healed.
In these passages, Jesus just sent His word and healed the diseases. We too can send His word and expect healing to take place.
Let us be bold to pray for someone who needs healing and keep doing it until it becomes part of our lifestyle.
A lifestyle of praying when we see a need.
Blessings
