II Corinthians 3:13 NKJV
unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away.
II Corinthians 3:13 NKJV
When Moses brought the Israelites out of Egypt to the mountain to worship God, the Israelites refused to go with Moses.
Moses beheld the Lord on the mountain that caused him to see what is eternal and what is passing away. Moses saw what is of the Lord Almighty and what is of the world and the cravings of men.
When we worship God Almighty in spirit and in truth, we will see our Lord and King in the spirit that changes our heart to everything around us.
The truth is Moses did not need to cover his face if all the Israelites that came out of Egypt followed him to worship the Lord on the mount.
The veil that Moses put on his face is a picture of the condition of the Israelites because they refused to worship the Lord. They were blinded to what is true and made a golden calf and worshiped that instead.
The people in the world who refuse to worship the true and living God in spirit and in truth today will not be able to see the things that are eternal but indulge in the things that is passing away.
They hold dearly to the things with such passion and love that is passing away because they just can't see the bad in each one of them and the eternal plans of God
The only hope for the world to see the truth is Jesus Christ our Lord who gave His life up for us so that today we can see through His eyes and live in His spirit.
To behold our God and worship Him in spirit and in truth opens our eyes to what is temporal and what is eternal. To what is of God and what is not of Him.
Let us behold God and help others to behold God by sharing Jesus Christ to the world so that all can see and know what is eternal and what is passing away.
