Paul taught about the weapons that we have received as a believer in Jesus and how important it is for us to use it.
Many believers don’t realise that we have an enemy who is consistent to steal, kill and destroy our lives.
The best way to live is in Christ and to live out Christ daily. Christ has defeated the enemy. Therefore, we who live in Him can live in the victory Jesus has achieved.
The enemy will try to come in through lies and deceit. The enemy will use circumstances to inflict fear, doubt and unbelief.
This is the reason Paul taught to above all take the shield of FAITH to quench every dart of fire satan throws.
Faith in God and all that He has said will eliminate satan’s plot and diffuse his plans.
Faith is a shield. If we believe and have faith that we are protected in Christ and no harm can come near us, that’s the shield.
If we believe and stand firm that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, that’s the shield.
If we believe we can do all things through Christ and doubt not, look not at the natural things but completely trust God it will happen, that’s the shield.
Faith that God has given us the victory and have redeemed us from the curse of sin and death, that’s the shield.
Do we have some shield in our lives that we put our faith into action? Or do we just go on with life just like everyone else?
There has got to be a distinctive difference between the people of the world and the people of God.
We ought to walk in confidence, assurance and peace in the midst of all kinds of calamities.
Let us quench every fiery dart of the enemy by having our faith anchored in Christ Jesus our Lord.
