“For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;”

‭‭James‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It is important that we understand that the old covenant and the new covenant both work under a law.

One is the law that God gave Moses which the people wanted and the other is the law of the spirit in Christ Jesus which our heavenly Father desires. Both have principles, conditions and their own image.

James taught believers that we can’t ask God based on an old covenant law for a new covenant blessing.

Doubt and unbelief are of the work of the flesh which the law condemns but faith and trust in Christ is the work of the spirit which our Father approves.

A good Christian doesn’t mean he can have the manifestation of God’s promises but he who put his trust and faith in Jesus and believes in the law of the spirit will surely see it.

The condition of receiving God and His abundance is obedience, trust and belief in what God had already done.

What hinders us from receiving the abundance of God is that we are not connected by faith, trust and belief in Christ.

Faith, trust and belief are like a pipeline that is connected to the main constant flow of God’s abundance.

What cuts that constant flow is doubt and unbelief in God which causes fear to creep in.

Let us believe, trust and have faith in all that Jesus has spoken to us through His word and His Spirit.
