John 5:23 NKJV
“that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.”
John 5:23 NKJV
To honor someone is to acknowledge, respect, value, and to hold their reputation and speak highly of it.
When we honor someone here on earth, it is mainly to give that person the benefits.
Every honor we give to God comes back to bless us in a measure far beyond what we could ask or think.
When we acknowledge Jesus and honor Him, we cannot miss the fact He did it all for us.
When we acknowledge Jesus and the gifts He has given to us, we cannot but see those gifts in our lives.
When we focus and give God the honor, praise, and thanksgiving, it builds us and strengthens us in our true identity in Him.
When we don’t honor God and do what we like according to our own way, we will not be stirred up in the things of Christ.
Our minds, hearts, and eyes will grow dimmer towards our true identity. We will start to entertain satan's work.
When we start to dismiss God’s word deliberately, we will be moving toward hardening our hearts and that can lead to denying Christ.
It is wise to keep away from the danger zone. Don’t play around in that area. Only do what God has said and honor Him.
Our loving Father wants the best. Don’t let our circumstances rob us of our time to honor God.
How does our honor look like towards God, towards what He has said, and towards acknowledging all that Jesus has done for us?
Let us honor, praise, and thank Jesus for everything that He has done, living out every gift and blessing that Jesus has blessed us with.
Blessings
