I Corinthians 5:6NKJV

Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?"

I Corinthians 5:6, NKJV

The Apostle Paul addressed a disturbing issue in the Corinthian church, where sexual immorality was being condoned and even boasted about.

Paul emphasized that this boasting was not good, as it would corrupt the entire community of believers.

Paul urged the leaders to take action and correct this error before it spread and hardened their hearts, leading to eternal death.

He stressed that our lives are not just about individual choices, but about our accountability to one another for the preservation of the gospel of Christ.

If we allow small, ungodly practices to take hold, they can potentially spread and become the norm. This is what has happened in the world, where sinful behaviors are often celebrated and boasted about. Unfortunately, these practices have also infiltrated the church.

As believers, we must bring the truth in love to those who are struggling, before sin and trouble take hold.

Our actions, whether private or public, affect one another. How we live our lives and conduct ourselves is crucial as members of the body of Christ.

This is not a call to condemn others, but to restore those who are struggling. Submitting to one another and being accountable in every area of our lives brings safety and an open heart to be directed in the way of Christ.

Let us look out for one another and build each other up to live in the resurrection power of Christ, eliminating every work of the enemy.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
