‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭2‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Have you not brought this on yourself, In that you have forsaken the Lord your God When He led you in the way?”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭2‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It is a tragic story when the Israelites chose to walk their own way, while one of the greatest stories is when one chose to follow God's way.

The Lord said that they have brought calamities by themselves through their own choices.

God was always leading the way and God did not stop leading the way to the promised land.

What stopped their journey was their own disobedience, wanting to go back to where they came from.

They would rather choose the beatings, the torture, the control and manipulation even though in the wilderness they experience freedom, free food, freedom from sickness, shelter and a journey towards being a freed person.

We wonder how someone could choose to be in bondage instead of being liberated with what God has promised.

God was trying to lead them into His rest yet they are choosing to be go back to their own works. The worst thing is they blame God and Moses for their rebellion.

Today many are making the same choice while freedom in Christ has been established.

People today pray for God to move them into the promised land; they are waiting for God to move when He already is the Way, the Truth and the Life for us.

Our mindset needs to change from living through the Old Covenant to living through the New Covenant.

By faith we walk into all that God had prepared, knowing He has done it all.

Let us not bring ourselves into shortage. Instead, let us bring ourselves into God’s abundance and live life from that place.

Blessings
