Numbers‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes;”

When the Israelites wanted to elect a captain among themselves to lead them back to Egypt, Joshua and Caleb, who had searched the land, tore their clothes.

Joshua and Caleb did not join the crowd but followed Moses and Aaron to pursue the promised land.

Joshua and Caleb had spied out the land. They spied out the promise of God. This kept them focused on crossing over to take the land.

Joshua was instructed to meditate on God’s promises so that they could see past those giants.

If we don’t take time to spy out our inheritance in Christ, if we don’t take time to know what we have received from Christ., we can be persuaded by things that will derail us back to our old nature.

The Israelites were freed from the control of Egypt but they still behaved and lived like they were still in bondage.

Christ has freed us from the curse of the law and HAS blessed us with every spiritual blessings.

But how many people are still living as if Christ did not do anything for us.

The way we pray can tell what we believe about our God.

If we are begging for God to do anything for us, we don’t really know what God has done for us.

Jesus has done it all and gave His children His power and authority to populate earth with heaven.

Let us invest our time to know God, know what He has done and don’t get stuck with religion.
