‭‭Acts‬ ‭3‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV

“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭3‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV

In verse 18, the writer speaks about that which was spoken by the prophets has been fulfilled through and in Christ Jesus.

Therefore he calls us to repent, which means to turn our directions. He is calling us to turn from the old to the new, from darkness into His light and from the citizens of this world to the citizens of the kingdom of God.

We are to change focus from self to Christ, to what we have to what has been given and from our earthly inheritance to the heavenly inheritance.

True repentance is changing our identity from the fallen nature to the redeemed nature in Christ our Lord.

We are to be converted by the renewing of our minds and hearts to the image Christ has given us.

It is our duty to take all that Christ has done and change our way of life, our values and our beliefs.

If we don’t repent or change our direction, we will not be able to enjoy fully the freedom, the power and the love of God.

We will experience a trickle here and there but we will be frustrated over many promises that are not yet coming to pass.

The promises were given, and the provision was made available, but the worker, which is us, has to start building our lives according to what Christ has provided.

That is why Jesus said don’t look to the left or to the right, for the kingdom of God is within you.

Look no further for more of this and that from the Lord, for everything we need has been given.

All that is needed is for someone to believe in it and start living out of that abundance.

Let us be awaken to all that God has done for us and live with gratitude unto the Lord.

Blessings

Ps Ambrose
