“And God blesseth the seventh day, and sanctifieth it, for in it He hath ceased from all His work which God had prepared for making.”

The account in Genesis gives a a picture of how God created the world.

Here on the seventh day God stopped creating because every aspect of the world was complete.

Some translation used the word God rested which generally gave the understanding that God had to rest after all of His works.

God is God and He does not get tired, He does not need rest because He is God.

God is the source of all strength, power and provision.

When God created the world, He did not labour to make the world.

God spoke out of His abundance and the world came to existence.

Everything that God created in the world came out of His abundance, not out of His labour.

We are called to enter His rest. Meaning we too are called to function out of His abundance.

Everything we do as a believer, we do it out of His abundance, His provision and His power that IS ALREADY BEEN DEPOSITED IN US.

Jesus came to earth and died for us so that we can enter His rest and function out of His abundance.

God has blessed us to live in His rest and wants us to know this truth which will set us free.

Let us be filled with praise, worship and adoration towards Jesus who has blessed us with such a blessing.
